It shows what needs your attention now, such as open questions, threats to review and documents worth uploading, and links you to the page where you can act on each one. ## Before you begin * Select a device. The dashboard always shows one device's results. See [Find your way around MSI](/msi/get-started.md#switch-organization-workspace-or-device). * If you've just created the device, wait for processing to finish. Until the device's knowledge base is built, the dashboard shows the processing steps instead of the cards below. See [Create your first device](/msi/get-started/create-your-first-device.md#if-your-device-is-still-processing). ## Open the dashboard In the sidebar, select **Dashboard**. ## Cards you see by default The dashboard is made of cards. These five are shown until you change the layout. ### Quick Actions Starts the main analyses for a device: | Card | Button | What it does | | -------------------------- | ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **FDA eSTAR Readiness** | **Start Checklist** | Prepare for an FDA 510(k) or De Novo submission. | | **Regulatory Audit** | **Run Audit** | Identify design and implementation gaps in your submission documents. | | **Threat Model** | **Start Threat Model** | Identify assets, threats and controls from your device architecture. | | **Cybersecurity Maturity** | **Start Assessment** | Evaluate the security maturity of a device or portfolio. | An action marked **Pro** isn't included in your organization's plan, and its button is unavailable. ### Guided Questions Shows the device's open guided questions one at a time. These are things MSI couldn't settle from your documents. Use the arrows to move between questions, and answer them right on the card. Select **View All Questions** to open the full list. If you see **No questions generated yet**, run an activity (such as a threat model) to generate them. ### Quick Upload Lists documents MSI recommends you upload next to assess the device more thoroughly. Choose a collection under **Upload to:** and add the files. Select **View All Collections** to open **Documents**. ### Risk Register A compact view of the device's threats, with two tabs: * **Threats:** steps through threats waiting for review, grouped the same way as in the register. Each threat shows its review state, and you can assign it to a teammate from the card. When nothing is left, the card shows **All threats reviewed.** * **Controls:** suggested security controls waiting for review. Accepting a control applies it to the threats it covers. Select **View Register** to open the full **Risk Register**. See [Triage risks in the Risk Register](/msi/review-your-threat-model/triage-risks-in-the-risk-register.md). The Risk Register requires Threat Modeling on your organization's plan. ## Add, remove or reorder cards 1. On the dashboard, select **Customize Dashboard** in the page header. 2. Turn each card on or off, and drag cards to reorder them. 3. Select **Close**. MSI saves your layout. If you hide every card, the dashboard shows **No cards visible** with a **Customize Dashboard** button to bring them back. ## Other cards you can add | Card | What it shows | | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Readiness Status** | The device's overall readiness rating and what contributes to it. | | **Industry Benchmark** | The device's maturity score compared with industry peers: the median and the top and bottom quartiles. | | **Action Queue** | Open items for the device, ranked by severity. | | **Deadlines** | Upcoming deadlines, grouped from **Past due** and **Due soon** through **Later**. | | **Recent Activity** | What has changed on the device recently. Select an event to go to it. | | **Artifacts** | Counts of the device's **Assessments**, **Threat models**, **Regulatory audits**, **Document collections** and **Open findings**. Select a count to open that page. | | **eSTAR Readiness**, **FDA Audit**, **Maturity Assessment**, **Threat Model** | A summary of that activity's results for the device. A card marked **Pro** is for an activity that isn't on your plan. | | **Pen Test Import** | Findings extracted from an imported penetration test report.
